Acceptance criteria
BG 88 Commissioning Responsibilities Framework, by Matt Lowry, published by BSRIA in January 2025, defines acceptance as: ‘A formal action, taken by a person with appropriate authority, to declare that some aspect of the project meets defined requirements, thus permitting subsequent activities to proceed.’
It defines acceptance criteria as: ‘Performance requirements or essential conditions that are to be achieved before project deliverables are accepted.'
